An applicator 16 is used to apply a label 10 to a shaped CD ROM (not
shown). The applicator 16 comprises a central projection 18 and peripheral
locator pins 20a and 20b, as well as a well 22 in which to receive a
shaped CD ROM. A label is secured to a CD ROM held in the well 22 by
placing locator tabs of the label over the locator pins 20a and 20b to
ensure correct relative location of the CD ROM and the label.
