A method of integrating an application in a computerized system for
representing a real world object, and a system employing the method. The
real world object may be any object, device, process or item of equipment,
including equipment in industrial or commercial installation or process,
in any location. The real world object is represented as an object, called
a Composite Object, in a part of a computer program. The invention also
includes Aspects which represent the data and/or operations of a Composite
Object. The Composite Object is a container holding at least one Aspect
representing data for the real world object. The Composite Object includes
at least one interface for use by another object which interface is
implemented by the Aspect System and accessed through an object Request
Broker, that complies, for example, with COM. The principal advantage of
the method and system is that applications within the system do not
require prior information about other objects or applications included in
the system. Modular and simplified expansion of the system is enabled,
together with the later integration of applications not specified at the
time of designing the system.
Un método de integrar un uso en un sistema automatizado para representar un objeto verdadero del mundo, y un sistema que emplea el método. El objeto verdadero del mundo puede ser cualquier objeto, dispositivo, proceso o equipo artículo, incluyendo el equipo en la instalación o el proceso industrial o comercial, en cualquier localización. El objeto verdadero del mundo se representa como objeto, llamado un objeto compuesto, en una parte de un programa de computadora. La invención también incluye los aspectos que representan los datos y/o las operaciones de un objeto compuesto. El objeto compuesto es un envase que lleva a cabo por lo menos un aspecto que representa los datos para el objeto verdadero del mundo. El objeto compuesto incluye por lo menos un interfaz para el uso por otro objeto que en ejecucio'n el interfaz sea puesto por el sistema del aspecto y alcanzado a través de un corredor de la petición del objeto, de que se conforma, por ejemplo, con COM. La ventaja principal del método y del sistema es que los usos dentro del sistema no requieren la información anterior sobre otros objetos o usos incluidos en el sistema. La extensión modular y simplificada del sistema se permite, junto con la integración más última de los usos no especificados a la hora de diseñar el sistema.
