What is described is a polymeric hydrogel of a polymeric anhydride or acid,
e.g. maleic anhydride or maleic acid polymer, or copolymer thereof,
crosslinked with a crosslinking agent containing at least 2 crosslinkable
groups, particularly, --OH or --NH.sub.2, or both. The reaction product is
a crosslinked polymeric ester or amide/imide, or both, suitably having a
mole ratio of --OH, or --NH.sub.2, to --COOH, of 1:10 to 10:1, preferably
2:10 to 7:1. The hydrogel is particularly swellable in water, e.g.
>100% in 1 hour in aqueous media; and forms a thin, tacky layer on a
substrate, which property is useful in bioadhesive products.
Wat wordt beschreven is daarvan een polymeer hydrogel van een polymeer anhydride of een zuur, b.v. maleic anhydride of maleic zuurpolymeer, of copolymeer, crosslinked met een crosslinking agent die minstens 2 crosslinkable groepen, in het bijzonder, -OH bevat of -- NH.sub.2, of allebei. Het reactieproduct is een crosslinked polymeer ester of een amide/imide, of allebei, geschikt hebbend een molverhouding van -OH, of -- NH.sub.2, aan -- COOH, van 1:10 tot 10:1, bij voorkeur 2:10 tot 7:1. Het hydrogel is bijzonder swellable in water, b.v. 100% in 1 uur in waterige milieu's; en vormen een dunne, plakkerige laag op een substraat, welk bezit in bioadhesive producten nuttig is.
