The present invention includes a supported catalyst for the reduction of
nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.x) with a lower hydrocarbon. The supported
catalyst comprising at least one active metal and at least one promoter
metal attached to a support. The support may additionally include
activated carbon. The promoter metals may be chosen from the lanthanide
metals and the active metals may be chosen from palladium or platinum. The
invention also includes a method of making the above mentioned catalysts
and a method of using the catalysts to reduce nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.x)
with a lower hydrocarbon.
La présente invention inclut un catalyseur soutenu pour la réduction des oxydes d'azote (NO.sub.x) avec de l'hydrocarbure inférieur. Le catalyseur soutenu comportant au moins un métal actif et au moins un métal d'instigateur attachés à un appui. L'appui peut en plus inclure le charbon actif. Les métaux d'instigateur peuvent être choisis des métaux de lanthanide et les métaux actifs peuvent être choisis du palladium ou du platine. L'invention inclut également une méthode de la fabrication des catalyseurs mentionnés ci-dessus et une méthode d'employer les catalyseurs pour réduire les oxydes d'azote (NO.sub.x) avec de l'hydrocarbure inférieur.
