This invention is directed to alkyl cobalt (II) dioximates and methods for
making these dioximates. The alkyl cobalt (III) dioximate has the
following structural formula:

wherein R.sub.1, and R.sub.2 are individually selected from the following
group: H, alkyl having at least 2 carbon atoms, substituted alkyl, aryl,
substituted aryl, COOR.sub.5, CONR.sub.6 R.sub.7, SR.sub.7, SO.sub.2
R.sub.7, SO.sub.2 NR.sub.5 R.sub.6, SOR.sub.5, SO.sub.3 R.sub.5, halogen,
CCl.sub.3, CF.sub.3, COR.sub.5, CHO, CR.sub.6 R.sub.7 OR.sub.5,
CH(OR.sub.5)(OR.sub.6), CR.sub.5 (OR.sub.6)(OR.sub.7); where R.sub.5,
R.sub.6, and R.sub.7 are independently selected from the following group:
H, alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl and A is a
substituted alkyl derived from an olefinic component and B is a component
of a Lewis base and where the substituents of the substituted alkyl are
individually selected from the group of ester, ether, amide, halogen,
ketone, hydroxy, aryl, SO.sub.2 -alkyl, sulfamido, and amino groups and
the substituents for the substituted aryl are individually selected from
the group of ester, ether, amide, halogen, ketone, hydroxy, alkyl,
SO.sub.2 -alkyl, sulfamido, and amino groups.
Esta invenção é dirigida aos dioximates e aos métodos alkyl do cobalt (ii) para fazer estes dioximates. O dioximate alkyl do cobalt (iii) tem a seguinte fórmula estrutural: ## do ## STR1 wherein R.sub.1, e R.sub.2 são selecionados individualmente do seguinte grupo: H, alkyl que tem ao menos 2 átomos de carbono, substituiu o alkyl, arilo, arilo substituído, COOR.sub.5, CONR.sub.6 R.sub.7, SR.sub.7, SO.sub.2 R.sub.7, SO.sub.2 NR.sub.5 R.sub.6, SOR.sub.5, SO.sub.3 R.sub.5, halogênio, CCl.sub.3, CF.sub.3, COR.sub.5, CHO, CR.sub.6 R.sub.7 OR.sub.5, CH(OR.sub.5)(OR.sub.6), CR.sub.5 (OR.sub.6)(OR.sub.7); onde R.sub.5, R.sub.6, e R.sub.7 são selecionados independentemente do seguinte grupo: H, alkyl, substituiu o alkyl, arilo ou substituiu o arilo e A é um alkyl substituído derivado de um componente olefinic e B é um componente de uma base de Lewis e onde os substituents do alkyl substituído são selecionados individualmente do grupo do ester, ether, amido, halogênio, cetona, hydroxy, aryl, SO.sub.2 - alkyl, sulfamido, e os amino grupos e os substituents para o arilo substituído são selecionados individualmente do grupo do ester, do ether, do amido, do halogênio, da cetona, de hydroxy, de alkyl, SO.sub.2 - alkyl, sulfamido, e amino grupos.
