A method of reducing metal artifacts in a computed tomography (CT) system
includes:
A. generating a preliminary image from input projection data collected by
the CT system;
B. identifying metal objects in the preliminary image;
C. generating secondary projections from the input projection data by
removing projections of objects having characteristics that may cause the
objects to be altered in a final artifact-corrected image.
D. extracting the projections of metal objects identified in step B from
the secondary projection data generated in step C.
E. generating corrected projections by removing the projections of the
metal objects extracted in Step D from the input projection data.
F. generating a final image by reconstructing the corrected projections
generated in step E and inserting the metal objects identified in Step B
into the final image.
Un método de reducir los artefactos del metal en un sistema del tomography computado (CT) incluye: El A. que generaba una imagen preliminar de datos de la proyección de la entrada recogió por el sistema de CT; El B. que identifica el metal se opone en la imagen preliminar; C. que genera proyecciones secundarias de los datos de la proyección de la entrada quitando proyecciones de los objetos que tienen características que pueden hacer los objetos ser alterado en una imagen artefacto-corregida final. D. que extrae las proyecciones de los objetos del metal identificados en el paso B de los datos secundarios de la proyección generados en el E. del paso C. que genera proyecciones corregidas quitando las proyecciones de los objetos del metal extraídos en el paso D de los datos de la proyección de la entrada. F. que genera una imagen final reconstruyendo las proyecciones corregidas generadas en el paso E e insertando los objetos del metal identificados en el paso B en la imagen final.
