A medicament is disclosed for reducing the risk of cross-healing
("adhesions") after surgery. The medicament is a dry powder comprising a
surface active phospholipid which is capable of binding to mesothical
membranes, and a spreading agent. The medicament is applied as a dry
powder to the surgical wound site.
