The present application relates to a method of softening soil deposited on
a hard surface. The method comprises contacting a hard surface having soil
with a composition having a soil softening additive incorporated into the
composition. The compositions may be formulated at either high or low pH
and preferred soil softening additives are amylase enzymes.
