Dicarboxy functionalized polyorganosiloxanes having the formula
X(R.sup.4 R.sup.5 SiO).sub.p (R.sup.6 ASiO).sub.q Y (I)
wherein
the X end group represents a triorganosiloxyl end group of formula R.sup.1
R.sup.2 R.sup.3 SiO, or a Z end group, wherein Z represents --OH
the Y end group represents a triorganosilyl end group of formula SiR.sup.3
R.sup.2 R.sup.1, or a W end group, wherein W represents --H
R.sup.1 to R.sup.6 represent a C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl or phenyl radical,
preferably methyl
A represents the dicarboxy radical of formula (I') or salts thereof
--(CH.sub.2).sub.3 --CH(COOH)--CH.sub.2 COOH (I')
p is an average value ranging from 0 to 1000
q is an average value ranging from 1 to 100
the ratio of the number of Z and W end groups to the total number of X and
Y end groups being from 0/100 to 75/100. They can be used for the water
repellent treatment of surfaces, particularly inorganic surfaces or
surfaces containing alkaline or earth-alkaline metal, and as
anti-corrosion additives for the treatment of metal surfaces.
Dicarboxy functionalized i polyorganosiloxanes che hanno la formula X(R.sup.4 R.sup.5 SiO).sub.p (R.sup.6 ASiO).sub.q Y (i) in cui il gruppo dell'estremità di X rappresenta un gruppo dell'estremità di triorganosiloxyl della formula R.sup.1 R.sup.2 R.sup.3 SiO, o un gruppo dell'estremità di Z, in cui la Z rappresenta --OH il gruppo dell'estremità di Y rappresenta un gruppo dell'estremità di triorganosilyl della formula SiR.sup.3 R.sup.2 R.sup.1, o un gruppo dell'estremità di W, in cui il W rappresenta il --H R.sup.1 a R.sup.6 rappresenta un C.sub.1 - l'alchile C.sub.8 o il radicale fenilico, A preferibilmente metilico rappresenta il radicale di dicarboxy della formula (I ') o dei sali di ciò -- (CH.sub.2).sub.3 -- CH(COOH) -- CH.sub.2 COOH (I ') p è un valore medio che varia da 0 a 1000 q è un valore medio che varia da 1 a 100 il rapporto del numero gruppi di estremità di W e di Z al numero totale gruppi di estremità di Y e di X che sono 0/100 - 75/100. Possono essere usati per il trattamento repellente dell'acqua delle superfici, specialmente delle superfici inorganiche o delle superfici contenenti il metallo alcalino o terra-alcalino e come additivi anticorrosivi per il trattamento delle superfici del metallo.
