A charger of the present invention includes a charging member contacting or
adjoining an image carrier for charging the image carrier. A conductive
facing member faces a portion of the charging member other than a portion
of the same that faces the image carrier. Discharge occurs between the
charging member and the facing member to thereby remove impurities
deposited on the charging member. An image forming apparatus including the
charger is also disclosed.
Un caricatore di presente invenzione include un membro caricantesi che si mette in contatto con o che congiunge un elemento portante di immagine per caricare l'elemento portante di immagine. Un membro conduttivo dei rivestimenti pone ad una parte del membro caricantesi tranne una parte dello stesso che affronti l'elemento portante di immagine. Lo scarico si presenta fra il membro caricantesi ed il membro dei rivestimenti quindi per rimuovere le impurità depositate sul membro caricantesi.
