Novel salicyl alcohol derivatives having valuable cosmetically and
pharmaceutically useful properties, such as prostaglandin synthesis
inhibition, corresponding to the formula (I):
R.sup.1 --OCH.sub.2 --Ph--O--Z--(R.sup.2).sub.n (I),
a method for producing the same and their utilization in cosmetics and
pharmacy.
