Halogen-free polyolefin blends are provided which are flame retardant and
are particularly useful in replacing polyvinyl chloride for production of
different products such as coatings for wire and cable and sheets for
floor tiles. The blends comprise (1) ethylene vinyl acetate carbon
monoxide terpolymer; (2) an ethylene vinyl acetate or polyolefin; (3) an
ethylene vinyl acetate or polyolefin grafted with a carboxylic acid or an
anhydride thereof; and (4) an inorganic filler.
