A system, method, and apparatus according to an embodiment of the invention
uses a processor to transfer information from a first device to a common
area. The information is then transferred from the common area to a second
device, thereby bypassing restrictions that may impede a transfer of the
information directly from the first device to the second device. In an
exemplary implementation, a PCI card initiates the transfer of information
from a video frame buffer of an AGP video card to a memory buffer on the
PCI card, using an interrupt handler loaded during configuration of the
PCI bus.
