A novel antioxidant has the advantages of both the hindered phenols and the
phosphite antioxidant is prepared from phosphorus trichloride and
2,5-di-tert-butylhydroquinone, such as
tetrakis-(2,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-2,5-di-tert-butyl-hydroquinon
ediyl diphosphite.
