The present invention relates to a communication device using three-step
communication buffers which temporarily stores received data or data to be
transmitted between a serial communication device and a central processing
unit. To prevent an error resulted from that the serial communication
device and the central processing unit simultaneously access to the
communication buffer, the access to the communication buffer is allowed at
different edges of the system clock signal, thereby having a time
difference of the access.
