The present invention relates to polyurethanes and a process for preparing
them. These polyester polyurethanes contain units corresponding to the
following formulae (I) and (II):

The polyester polyurethanes according to the present invention form
pseudolatices and may be utilized as film-forming resin in cosmetic
compositions.
