Interblock interference ("IBI") in impulse response affected signals is
minimized by generating approximations of differential coefficients. The
approximated coefficients are generated by taking into consideration that
non-uniform amounts of IBI are present in portions of such a signal.
Methods and devices used to minimize IBI are simplified by using the
approximations.
