A golf ball having an integral means for sensing temperature whereby a
golfer can readily determine if a golf ball is at the optimum temperature
for play. For purposes of indicating temperature, the ball incorporates a
thermochromic section that will change color or become transparent or
translucent at a predetermined temperature. The thermochromic section may
be printed in such a manner to indicate the condition of the ball.
