Multi-layered golf ball and composition

The present invention is directed to a multi-layer golf ball which includes a core, a cover and at least one intermediate layer disposed between the core and cover, wherein the intermediate layer contains a glycidyl polymer and a thermoplastic component such as a copolyester, polyamide homopolymer or copolymer, polyetherester block copolymer, polyesterester block copolymer, polyetheramide block copolymer, polyesteramide block copolymer, dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer, styrene-butadiene copolymer, polyurethane, polymer formed using a metallocene catalyst, or a blend or copolymer thereof, and optionally a density-modifying filler such as zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, or a mixture thereof.
