A process involving, for example, the admixing of an emulsion latex, a
colorant, and a tetra-alkylated quaternary ammonium halide salt complexing
agent; and thereafter, heating in sequence about below the Tg of a resin
contained in the latex and then heating about above the Tg glass
transition temperature of a resin contained in the latex.
