A method and apparatus for processing electronic transactions. A batch
request is received, wherein the batch request includes a plurality of
electronic transactions. A determination is then made as to whether the
batch request has been processed. Responsive to a determination that a
portion of the batch request has been processed, the plurality of
electronic transactions is sent for processing. Responsive to a
determination that a portion of the batch request has been processed, a
signal is sent indicating a check for duplicate electronic transactions
should be made with respect to the plurality of electronic transactions.
