A method of treating a subject suffering from a condition involving a
blunted anterior pituitary hormone pattern in which Thyroid
Releasing-Hormone (TRH) and Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide (GHRP) are
administered to the subject. The TRH and GHRP reactivate the blunted
anterior pituitary hormone release mechanism of the subject. Treatable
conditions include critical illness, non-coping mental and physical stress
and frail elderly syndrome.
