A snowmobile has a frame construction that defines a recess above a drive
unit. The recess is formed by a horizontal member and a pair of vertical
members. A portion of the exhaust system extends within the recess at a
location above the drive unit. An exhaust system cooling passage is
provided to reduce temperature rise of the exhaust system.
