Indene is produced from an indene-containing coal tar distillate by adding
a glycol to the indene-containing coal tar distillate and then conducting
azeotropic distillation to obtain an indene fraction while eliminating
benzonitrile from the indene-containing coal tar distillate.
Indene wordt geproduceerd uit een indene-bevat koolteerdistillaat door een glycol toe te voegen aan het indene-bevat koolteerdistillaat en dan azeotropic distillatie te leiden om een indenefractie te verkrijgen terwijl benzonitrile elimineren van het indene-bevat koolteerdistillaat.
