A method for implementing inter-node user mobility in a communication
network which enables a user to perform an inter-node change between
terminals of the communication network while retaining individual user
settings. For this purpose, after the user has registered at a terminal
coupled to a first network node, user-oriented configuration data are
requested by a home network node or similar of the user, identified by the
user, and are subsequently transmitted to the first network node. The
latter then initiates a user configuration to be set for the user via the
configuration data transmitted.
