A red-emitting phosphor blend is provided which comprises a mixture of a
first red-emitting phosphor having a general formula of (Y.sub.1-x-y
Gd.sub.x Eu.sub.y).sub.2 O.sub.3 wherein 0.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.9 and
0.02.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.4 and a second red-emitting phosphor having a
general formula of (Y.sub.1-a-b Gd.sub.a EU.sub.b) BO.sub.3 wherein
0.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.1 and 0.02.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.0.1, the second red-emitting
phosphor comprising from 10 to 40% by weight of the blend.
Uma mistura vermelho-emitindo-se do fósforo é fornecida de que compreende uma mistura de um primeiro fósforo vermelho-se emitindo que tem uma fórmula geral (Y.sub.1-x-y Gd.sub.x Eu.sub.y).sub.2 O.sub.3 wherein 0.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.9 e 0.02.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.4 e um segundo fósforo vermelho-se emitindo que tem uma fórmula geral (Y.sub.1-a-b Gd.sub.a EU.sub.b) de BO.sub.3 wherein 0.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.1 e 0.02.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.0.1, o segundo fósforo vermelho-se emitindo que compreende 10 a 40% pelo peso da mistura.
