A transformed mutant, P. mendocina, is provided containing a DNA fragment
that inactivates all pobA genes and encodes the enzyme hydroxybenzoate
hydroxylase. Mutants deficient in hydroxybenzoate hydroxylase are useful
for the production of para-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA).
Eine umgewandelte Durch Mutation entstehende Variation, P. mendocina, wird ein DNA Fragment enthalten zur Verfügung gestellt, das alle pobA Gene inaktiviert und die Enzym hydroxybenzoate Hydroxylase kodiert. Die Durch Mutation entstehende Variationen, die in der hydroxybenzoate Hydroxylase unzulänglich sind, sind für die Produktion von Punkten-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA) nützlich.
