Inhibitors of serine proteases are provided having formula (I)

wherein X, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are as defined
herein. In particular, the compounds bind to factor VIIa, tissue
factor/factor Xa complex, thrombin, trypsin, plasmin and kallikrein and
have anticoagulant activity. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the
compounds are useful for inhibiting the formation of veinous and/or
arterial thrombi in vivo.
De inhibitors van serine proteasen worden verstrekt hebbend formule (I) ## STR1 ## waarin X, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 en R.sub.5 zoals hierin bepaald zijn. In het bijzonder binden de samenstellingen aan factor VIIa, weefselfactor/factor complexe Xa, trombase, trypsine, plasmin en kallikrein en hebben antistollingsmiddelactiviteit. De farmaceutische samenstellingen die uit de samenstellingen bestaan zijn nuttig om de vorming van veinous en/of slagaderlijke bloedproppen in vivo te remmen.
