The invention relates to 5,15-diacetyl-3-benzoyllathyrol compound and a
skin whitening composition containing the same. Since the composition of
the invention contains 5,15-diacetyl-3-benzoyllathyrol as a melanine
production inhibitor, it is excellent in inhibiting pigment stagnation and
improving the discoloration of the skin or freckles. In addition, since it
does not induce a secondary effect, it has excellent stability.
