The invention relates to an electroluminescent device, in which the
luminescent layer contains a luminescent compound and a compound of the
general formula I as doping agent, wherein B is an unsaturated carbocyclic
or heterocyclic 4-8-link ring, which can also contain an alicyclic bridge,
the rings D and E are five- or six-link rings, which each can contain one
more hetero-atom N, O and S, the radicals R are one or more substituents H
or straight-chain or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, X and Y are carbon
or nitrogen, R.sub.1 ; R.sub.2 and R.sub.9 are H or straight-chain or
branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, R.sub.3 and R.sub.9 are hydrogen,
straight-chain or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, hydroxy, --OR.sub.16,
--COOR.sub.16, N,N-dialkylamino, acetylamino or halogen, wherein R.sub.16
is hydrogen, or straight-chain or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl,
R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 or R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 and/or R.sub.9 and R.sub.9
together can form an alicyclic, heterocyclic or aromatic ring, and A.sub.1
and A.sub.2, which can be the same or different, are cyan, nitro or
--COOR.sub.16. The compounds I are partly new. Together with the
luminescent compound, the doping agents have a red or white color,
depending on the concentration, with excellent quantum efficiency.

La invención se relaciona con un dispositivo electroluminiscente, en el cual la capa luminiscente contiene un compuesto luminiscente y un compuesto del fórmula general I como doping del agente, en donde B es un carbocyclic no saturado o el anillo heterocíclico 4-8-link, que puede también contener un puente alicyclic, los anillos D y E es cinco o los anillos del seis-acoplamiento, que cada uno puede contener un más hetero-a'tomo N, O y S, los radicales R es unos o más sustitutos H o C.sub.1 straight-chain o ramificados - C.sub.6 - alkyl, X y Y son el carbón o el nitrógeno, R.sub.1; R.sub.2 y R.sub.9 son H o C.sub.1 straight-chain o ramificados - C.sub.6 - alkyl, R.sub.3 y R.sub.9 son C.sub.1 del hidrógeno, straight-chain o ramificada - C.sub.6 - alkyl, hydroxy, -- OR.sub.16, -- COOR.sub.16, N, N-dialkylamino, el acetylamino o el halógeno, en donde R.sub.16 es hidrógeno, o C.sub.1 straight-chain o ramificado - C.sub.6 - alkyl, R.sub.1 y R.sub.2 o R.sub.2 y R.sub.3 y/o R.sub.9 y R.sub.9 juntos pueden formar un anillo alicyclic, heterocíclico o aromático, y A.sub.1 y A.sub.2, que pueden ser el iguales o diferentes, son ciánicos, nitro o -- COOR.sub.16.
