(CO)polymerization of vinyl chloride in the presence of a stable nitroxyl radical

The present invention pertains to a process for controlled free radical polymerization or copolymerization of vinyl chloride at a temperature between 40.degree. C. and 95.degree. C., at a pressure between 5 and 30 bar in the presence of a stable free nitroxyl radical.
