Aromatic and heteroaromatic amides of the formula

where R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 can be alkyl, X is alkylene, and R.sup.4
is an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic or heteroaromatic group such
as naphthyl or fluorenyl,
are CNS agents useful for treating pain, depression, anxiety, seizures, and
schizophrenia.
Le ammidi aromatiche e heteroaromatic del ## in cui R.sup.1, R.sup.2 e R.sup.3 possono essere alchilici, X del ## STR1 di formula è alchilene e R.sup.4 è un non sostituito o il gruppo aromatico o heteroaromatic sostituito quali il naftile o il fluorenyl, è agenti dello SNC utili per trattare il dolore, la depressione, l'ansia, i grippaggi e la schizofrenia.
