A device for providing wireless communication is disclosed. The device
includes an antenna mounted on a personal computer card. The antenna has a
pivotal connection for pivoting the antenna and a rotatable connection for
rotating the antenna in a direction which differs from the direction of
rotation. The antenna is rotatable about two axes and is retractable. In
the extended position, the antenna is electrically connected with the
personal computer card and can receive and transmit signals. The antenna
also has a base which is detachably mounted to the personal computer card
so that the antenna can be removed from said personal computer card and
replaced.
Eine Vorrichtung für das Zur Verfügung stellen der drahtlosen Kommunikation wird freigegeben. Die Vorrichtung schließt eine Antenne mit ein, die an einer PCKARTE angebracht wird. Die Antenne hat einen Angelanschluß für das Schwenken der Antenne und einen drehbaren Anschluß für das Drehen der Antenne in einer Richtung, die von der Richtung der Umdrehung sich unterscheidet. Die Antenne ist drehbare ungefähr zwei Äxte und ist einziehbar. In der ausgedehnten Position wird die Antenne elektrisch mit der PCKARTE angeschlossen und kann Signale empfangen und übertragen. Die Antenne hat auch eine Unterseite, die detachably zur PCKARTE angebracht wird, damit die Antenne von besagter PCKARTE entfernt werden und ersetzt werden kann.
