heat-sensitive color-developable layer containing an electron-donating
colorless dye and an electron-accepting compound, wherein the
electron-accepting compound contains a compound represented by R.sup.1
--Ph--SO.sub.2 R.sup.2, and an adhesive strength when an adhesive sheet
such as a revenue stamp is affixed to a recording face of a heat-sensitive
recording paper made of the heat-sensitive recording material is larger
than a given value, and a center line average roughness Ra75 of the
heat-sensitive recording face is 2.0 .mu.m or less.
