Stable, topically applicable cosmetic/dermatological compositions, notably
W/O emulsions, well suited for the UV-photoprotection of the skin, lips
and/or the hair, and/or for the makeup of the skin and/or the lips,
contain a thus effective amount of at least one mineral oxide having a
hydrophobic coating thereon, e.g., coated particulates of an oxide of
titanium and/or zinc, and, as a stabilizing agent therefor, a thus
effective amount of at least one oxyalkylenated polydimethylsiloxane
bearing at least one glycoside residue substituent, formulated into a
physiologically acceptable medium therefor.
