A computer network is used to facilitate the transfer of livestock,
stockfeed and/or other food products from a vendor to a purchaser. The
vendor initiates a connection over the computer network between a
computer associated with the vendor and a computer associated with a
transfer facilitator; the transfer facilitator prompts the vendor for
information pertaining to the consignment of livestock of food that the
vendor proposes to sell; in response to prompts form the transfer
facilitator, the vendor provides the transfer facilitator with
information regarding the livestock or food which the vendor proposes to
sell; and the transfer facilitator converts the information received from
the vendor into a vendor declaration and posts the vendor declaration to
a point on the computer network associated by the vendor and/or more
prospective purchases.
