The present invention relates to the use of individual fumaric acid
derivatives or mixtures thereof for preparing a pharmaceutical composition
for treating mitochondrial diseases, especially for treating Parkinson's
syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, Chorea Huntington disease, retinopathia
pigmentosa and mitochondrial encephalomyopathy. Preferably, the fumaric
acid derivative(s) is/are those selected from the group consisting of
fumaric acid dialkyl esters or fumaric acid monoalkyl esters in the form
of the free acid or a salt thereof.
De onderhavige uitvinding heeft op het gebruik van individuele fumaric zure derivaten of mengsels daarvan voor het voorbereiden van een farmaceutische samenstelling voor het behandelen van mitochondrial ziekten, vooral voor het behandelen van het syndroom van Parkinson, de ziekte van Alzheimer, Chorea de ziekte van Huntington, retinopathiapigmentosa en mitochondrial encephalomyopathy betrekking. Bij voorkeur, is het fumaric zure derivaat (s) /are die geselecteerd uit de groep die uit fumaric zuur dialkyl esters of de esters van fumaric zuurmonoalkyl in de vorm van het vrije zuur of een zout daarvan bestaat.
