The present invention provides a method of making a fluoropolymer
comprising repeating units derived from one or more gaseous fluorinated
monomers. The method comprises an aqueous emulsion polymerization of
gaseous fluorinated monomers in the presence of an ether selected from the
group consisting of dimethyl ether (DME), methyl tertiary butyl ether
(MTBE) and mixtures thereof.
De onderhavige uitvinding verstrekt een methode van het maken fluoropolymer bestaand uit herhalend eenheden die uit één of meerdere gasachtige fluorinated monomeren worden afgeleid. De methode bestaat uit een waterige emulsiepolymerisatie van gasachtige fluorinated monomeren in aanwezigheid van een ether die uit de groep wordt geselecteerd die uit dimethyl ether (DME) daarvan bestaat, methyl tertiaire butyl ether (MTBE) en mengsels.
