Relatively high refractive index polymeric compositions and ophthalmic
devices such as for example intraocular lenses and corneal inlays made
therefrom are described herein. The preferred polymeric compositions are
produced through the copolymerization of one or more aromatic-substituted
polysiloxane prepolymers with one or more aromatic monomers, alkylated
monomers or hydrophilic monomers.
Verhältnismäßig hoher Brechungsindex polymerischer Aufbau und Augenvorrichtungen wie zum Beispiel intraocular Objektive und Korneadie einlegearbeiten, die daher gebildet werden, werden hierin beschrieben. Der bevorzugte polymerische Aufbau wird durch die Kopolymerisierung von einer oder von mehr aromatisch-ersetzte polysiloxane Vorpolymerisate mit einer oder mehr aromatischen Monomeren, alkylierte Monomeren oder hydrophile Monomeren produziert.
