This invention relates to treatment of papillomavirus infections. Primarily
there is provided a method of treatment of an existing papillomavirus (PV)
infection which includes the step of administration of PV VLPs selected
from the group consisting of PV L1 VLPs and PV L1/L2 VLPs to a patient
suffering from the PV infection. Suitably the PV infection is
characterised by the presence of epithelial lesions. The major infection
which is treated are gential warts caused by HPV 6 and HPV 11.
Esta invención se relaciona con el tratamiento de las infecciones del papillomavirus. Sobre todo se proporciona un método de tratamiento de una infección existente del papillomavirus (PV) que incluya el paso de la administración de PV VLPs seleccionada del grupo que consiste en PV L1 VLPs y PV L1/L2 VLPs a un paciente que sufre de la infección del PV. La infección del PV es caracterizada convenientemente por la presencia de lesiones epiteliales. La infección principal se trata que es verrugas gential causadas por HPV 6 y HPV 11.
