The present invention provides a device and method for desalinating
saltwater which utilizes a heatable vessel wherein is placed a sufficient
quantity of a salt which will absorb water of crystallisation and which
has a dissolution index of not higher than 10.sup.-24. Saltwater is then
added to the vessel and brought into contact with the salt, so that the
salt will bind water from the saltwater and form a crystal hydrate. The
excess saltwater with salt concentrate is drained from the vessel. The
salt which has absorbed water tom the saltwater and formed a crystal
hydrate is then heated in the vessel, and the pure water from the crystal
hydrate is released as water vapour, which is collected and cooled to
obtain desalinated water.
Die anwesende Erfindung stellt eine Vorrichtung und eine Methode für das Entsalzen des Salzwassers zur Verfügung, das einen erhitzbaren Behälter verwendet, worin eine genügende Quantität eines Salzes gesetzt wird, das Wasser der Kristallisation aufsaugen und das einen Auflösungindex von nicht stark als 10.sup.-24 hat. Salzwasser wird dann dem Behälter hinzugefügt und geholt in Kontakt mit dem Salz, damit das Salz Wasser vom Salzwasser bindet und ein Kristallhydrat bildet. Das überschüssige Salzwasser mit Salzkonzentrat wird aus dem Behälter geflossen. Das Salz, das Wasser tom das Salzwasser aufgesogen hat und gebildet einem Kristallhydrat dann im Behälter geheizt wird und das reine Wasser vom Kristallhydrat wird als Wasserdampf freigegeben, der gesammelt und abgekühlt wird, um entsalzenes Wasser zu erhalten.
