Per-6-substituted-per-6-deoxy-cyclodextrins and compositions containing
the same are disclosed. The compounds and compositions inhibit the
formation and/or activity of soluble .beta.-amyloid-peptide derived
oligomers, and can be used to treat diseases and conditions wherein such
inhibition is beneficial, for example, Alzheimer's disease.
