The invention concerns an electro-luminescent device in which the
luminescent layer contains a compound of general formula I as doping agent
or as luminescent compound, whereby the radicals R.sub.1 to R.sub.12 are
identical or are different, and mean hydrogen, straight chain or branched
C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, aralkyl, aryl or substituted aryl; R.sub.1 and
R.sub.2 and/or R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 and/or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 and/or
R.sub.5 and R.sub.11 and/or R.sub.8 and R.sub.5 and/or R.sub.4 and
R.sub.12 can form an alicyclic, heterocyclic or aromatic ring; R.sub.5 can
furthermore be H, OH, OR.sub.9, N,N-di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6) alkylamino,
acetylamino or halogen; R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 together can form an alicyclic
or heterocyclic ring; A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 are identical or different and
are --CN, --NO.sub.2 or --COOR.sub.8 ; X is --CH, --CR.sub.11 or N; and Y
is O, --NH, --NR.sub.12, S or Se. The doping agents together luminesce
predominately red with very good quantum efficiency together with the
luminescent compound as a function of concentration.

El rojo de doping del luminesce de los agentes junto predominately con eficacia muy buena del quántum junto con el compuesto luminiscente en función de la concentración.
