Novel methods and compositions are provided for modulating homing of
leukocytes, particularly lympho-cytes, where the compounds are
cross-reactive with Neu5Ac2-3Gal.beta.1-X[Fuc.alpha.1-y]GlcNAc, where one
of x and y is three and the other is four. These compounds may be
administered to a host associated with inflammation, to avoid the
deleterious effects of leukocyte infiltration and for directing molecules
to such sites.
De nieuwe methodes en de samenstellingen worden verstrekt voor het moduleren van het automatisch besturen van witte bloedlichaampjes, in het bijzonder lymfocyten, waar de samenstellingen met Neu5Ac2-3Gal.beta.1-X[Fuc.alpha.1-y]GlcNAc dwars-reactief zijn, waar één van x en y drie en is is andere vier. Deze samenstellingen kunnen aan een gastheer worden beheerd die met ontsteking wordt geassocieerd, de schadelijke gevolgen van wit bloedlichaampjeinfiltratie en te vermijden voor het leiden van molecules aan dergelijke plaatsen.
