The present invention relates to compounds of the formula (I), wherein R is
independently SO.sub.3.sup.- or CH.sub.3 ; the spacer is a flexible spacer
of a length of 13-25 atoms; the charge of the pentasaccharide residue is
compensated by positively charged counterions; and the total number of
sulfate groups in the pentasaccharide residue is 4, 5 or 6; or a
pharmaceutically acceptable salt, a prodrug or a solvate thereof. The
compounds of the invention have antithrombotic activity and can be used in
treating or preventing thrombin-related diseases.
De onderhavige uitvinding heeft op samenstellingen van de formule (I) betrekking, waarin R onafhankelijk SO.sub.3.sup. - of CH.sub.3 is; het verbindingsstuk is een flexibel verbindingsstuk van een lengte van 13-25 atomen; de last van het pentasaccharideresidu wordt gecompenseerd door positief geladen counterions; en het totale aantal sulfaatgroepen in het pentasaccharideresidu is 4..5 of 6; of een farmaceutisch aanvaardbaar zout, prodrug of een solvate daarvan. De samenstellingen van de uitvinding hebben antithrombotic activiteit en kunnen in het behandelen van of het verhinderen van op trombase betrekking hebbende ziekten worden gebruikt.
