An optical recording medium with a circular body including a substrate, a
recording layer and a dielectric layer on the substrate, the circular body
having a recording/reproducing area and a hub attached to a surface of the
circular body. When the circular body stands vertically, the
recording/reproducing area of the hub-attached surface is curved in a
convex form, and the flexural amount is from 5 .mu.m to 100 .mu.m.
