An art registration system, method and database utilize identification tags affixed
to works of art. Each tag includes a secret identification code. The tag is affixed
to the work of art or art object. Each tag is issued only to an authorized user
who is registered with the system. Identification information for the work of art
and the owner of the work is stored in the database.
