Filtered lights reduce the blinding effect of vehicle headlights on oncoming
traffic. A reflector has a bulb socket protruding from its rear and a filter housing
attached to its front. A plurality of hollow, opaque tubes are arranged so that
light cannot penetrate between them, and their sidewalls are attached to one another
and to the sidewall of the filter housing. One end of the tubes, and one end of
the filter housing, is attached to a transparent shield. Light beams emitted from
a light bulb inserted into the bulb socket are reflected by the reflector through
the tubes and shield to focus them on an illuminated area.
