A method (500) and a mobile station (160) for controlling bearer
assignment are described herein. In a wireless communication system (100),
a core network (210) is configured to provide communication services to
the mobile station (160). The mobile station (160) may detect a resource
conflict associated with a communication service within the mobile station (160).
Upon detecting the resource conflict, the mobile station (160) may determine
a condition of the resource conflict suggesting to delay a bearer assignment for
the communication service. Based on the condition of the resource conflict, the
mobile station (160) may transmit a request associated with the bearer assignment
to the core network (210).
