A low-pressure mercury discharge lamp comprising an inner bulb, which forms a
gas
discharge vessel and the wall of which is made of a material which is transparent
to electromagnetic radiation and is coated with a phosphor, and comprising an outer
bulb surrounding the inner bulb, the wall of which contains an UV-A phosphor, and
comprising means for generating and maintaining a low-pressure mercury gas discharge.
